The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has begun work on the Route 309 at Tilghman Street Interchange Improvement Project.

We will be tracking the project as it progresses to keep you informed of road closures and other traffic impacts on Tilghman Street between Parkway Road to just west of Hausman Street.

Updates will be sent to us and reported here; you may want to bookmark this page so you can reference it as you plan your shopping at our store.

We will remain open during the construction and are exploring options for our customers to ensure your visits to our store and access to our quality bird seed is unimpeded.

Highlights as of Monday, April 7th:

Road Closures on Broadway in Preparation  for the Interchange Project:

• March 1 - April 14: Broadway Street closure between Parkway and Hausman Roads, 6:00pm to 6:00am
• April 7: Broadway Street is completely closed for approximately 4 weeks
• Traffic detours to Parkway Road, Tilghman Street, and Hausman Road

Expect lane restrictions on Tilghman Street between 40th Street and just west of Hausman Road.

• Weekdays: 9:00am to 3:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00pm
• Weekends: anytime

Improvement Plans:

• Route 309 Bridge over Tilghman Street
• Route 309 Bridge over Broadway Street
• Route 309 culvert rehabilitation over Little Cedar Creek
• Tilghman Street: roadway drainage improvements; road base repairs; paving; and sidewalks
• Reconfigured Route 309 ramps to Tilghman Street: installation of 2 new traffic signals that will be coordinated with the existing traffic signals at
  • Hausman Road at Cetronia Road
  • Tilghman Street at Parkway Road
  • Tilghman Street at 40th Street
